The RecordKeeper   -   more than a journal

Blog

(posted on 14 Jul 2018)

Thank you to all of those who dropped by (on Saturday July 14th) to visit me during my book signing at The Herb Shop.  Saw some known faces and met some new ones, too.  I sold a few books and planted many seeds.  It was a great 4 hours.  I'll keep on keepin' on with The RecordKeeper, more than a journal!

Hi everyone! OK -  Reason #6 July 9, 2018 to avail yourself to “The RecordKeeper” more than a journal www.therecordkeeper.us: if you are a healthcare provider (next week I will concentrate on the careGIVER) you may have asked your patients/clients to document how they felt when they were, for example, experiencing dizzy spells. By writing this information down, even if on a stickie note and is later placed into the journal – it can assist you (Dr. RN, LVN/LPN, FNP, PA, DO, P.T. to name a few) with additional information in order to form a clear diagnosis/diagnoses and further testing, etc. You may ask the patient to note what they ate, how they slept, how they moved and so forth. Some people jot down their symptoms on a calendar or stickie note or even into their phones. Great. However, having one book to document their concerns can be a time saving measure. I will always encourage people to ‘write it down” when they notice that “something just doesn’t feel right” with them. This creates a timestamp for any onset. Of course, if it is a major concern, call you, the provider asap. For your greatest well-being, Marie

July 2, 2018 REASON #5
Journaling can help to alleviate some pain due to a loss. Suppose you lost a close friend through death. By allowing yourself to write down how you are feeling, be it sadness, anger, depression and the like, you avail yourself the healing exercise of writing, almost a lost are The next day you can look back on your written pages (even week by week/day by day) and see how much better you may be feeling or your writings may indicate that you might seek professional counseling. Please continue to track your food intake (lake of appetite? Notate it), exercises or lack thereof. Journaling, tracking, documenting, record-keeping are all so very useful not only for today – for yesterday as well. In fact, many counselors encourage journaling as a healing exercise. “The RecordKeeper” is a viable choice. Best.www.therecordkeeper.us

REASON #4 to purchase TRK (The RecordKeeper)

Journaling mid-day to end of day. I know some will not or cannot make entries everytime they eat or take their blood pressure; however, if “The RecordKeeper” is close by you can document through out the day. You would enter things like what you ate, how you moved, pain levels after exercise, other readings if guided by your health care professional (blood pressure, bowel movements, temperature, when certain medications taken and the like). And don’t forget to write down things you may have seen or felt or heard – from the song of a bird to the clap of thunder, to the sprinklers playing a tune. Keeping these sensations alive by writing them down – is a blessing.

Exciting - I am in The Herb Shop's July newsletter.  This is only part of the newsletter.  Also, see my entry under "events."

It's another Manic Monday but it doesn't have to start out that way.  Read on:

June 18 2018 REASON #3 – Getting your day started with your entry in “The RecordKeeper.” Most of us drink some kind of beverage shortly after we awaken. This is the perfect time to enjoy your beverage without being rushed while you make your morning entry into your journal. At this time you would write down the time you got up, your weight (after bathroom activity), how you slept and even your temperature should you choose. You could even write down what the weather is like and any intentions you may have for that particular day. Now that is the start of a day – and may it be a great one!

I started writing down reasons why to buy "The RecordKeeper" in the facebook page "Grants Pass Community Chat," so I thought why not also place this on my website?  What do you think?

June 4 2018  REASON #1 Hello to everyone  who sees this "ad." "The RecordKeeper" more than a journal. This is the first of many reasons to purchase this book, again more than a journal:  Let's say you are being followed for some kind of medical condition and the doctor/nurse/DO/DC etc. wants you to document how you slept, what you ate, what physical activity you did. He/she wants you document all of this information for one month or more! It is all in one book "The RecordKeeper." Available on Amazon, via my website www.therecordkeeper.us and at local stores in Grants Pass, Oregon. Plus my photography, quotes with a daily promise to yourself is included. And more. . . Best! Marie

June 11 2018 REASON #2  to purchase "The RecordKeeper" www.therecordkeeper.us : You have a friend (or maybe it is you?) that just can't seem to be or stay organized when taking her/his meds, supplements, you-name-it on a day-to-day basis. This book, more than a journal, can help. All in one book. Along with the interesting images with quotes AND a daily promise to be thankful for just one thing - is easy on the eyes. Think about it. Reason #3 I'll save for next Monday. In the meantime, "For your greatest well-being" Marie
